APPLICATIONS
Tannino Q is a tannin obtained from the best oak grew in Allier and Limousin forests, applied to improve the organoleptic characteristic of important red and white wines.
It’s extracted from the oak trunk centre, because that has the best aromatic characteristics. Besides to keep unchanged that properties it’s applied a particular extraction system with the appropriate solvents and process.
Under the aromatic point of view the extract mainly contain vanilla, eugenol and a lacton of phenolic origin. It has a pleasant oak aroma and flavour which enhance the wine aroma balance, obtaining a wine more complex and elegant.
Therefore Tannino Q is advisable in important red (Cabernet, Merlot, etc) and white (Chardonnay, Sauvignon, etc) wines to be aged, even in barrels, to lead a better aromatic characterisation. Besides it plays an important role in wine flavour and mouthfeel obtaining a more structured and rounder product.
RATES AND USE
10 – 50 ppm (1-5 g/hl) in white wines, 50-200 ppm (5- 20 g/hl) in red wines. Tannino Q is perfectly soluble in water and wine.
Preferably the product is dissolved in water or clean wine and is to be added to the mass with thorough mixing.
