Liquid descaling detergent specific for washing small containers

APPLICATIONS

Deterkeg DC is a liquid descaling detergent which does not possess bacteriostatic or sanitising activities. Its principle use is to descale and to remove organic residues from small stainless steel containers (kegs) which are to be refilled with wine or beer. The combined action of sodium hydroxide for descaling and non ionic complexing activity allows it to be used at low concentrations and with hard water, while allowing biodegradability in excess of 90%.

Deterkeg DC is corrosive to aluminum, galvanized metals, tin, nitro varnish and phenolic resins.

DOSES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

It is used as an aqueous 0.5-2% solution, depending on the nature of the residues to be removed. A warm or hot solution of 40-80 °C (104-176 °F) is more effective and acts more quickly than does a solution at room temperature. Rinse profusely at the end of the operation.

SAFETY INFORMATION

The product is caustic. Use with caution. Prevent contact with skin and eyes. Use rubber gloves and safety glasses when using the product. Always add the product to water, never add water to the product.

PACKAGING AND STORAGE

25 kg cans Store at temperatures higher than 12 °C (54 °F). If congealed, the characteristics of the product will return when it returns to liquid form. Prevent direct contact with sunlight and acidic products.
